SLPs! Vowel Errors Are a Key Marker of CAS—Are You Addressing Them?
Complete this course and be eligible to earn 1.5 PDH and .15 ASHA CEUs.

Vowel errors are a major diagnostic marker of CAS, yet they’re often overlooked in therapy.
Standard articulation tests don’t assess them, and traditional cueing techniques aren’t always effective.
If you’re not systematically targeting vowels, therapy can feel frustrating—for both you and your clients.
Understanding Vowel Errors in Childhood Apraxia of Speech gives you a clear, research-backed framework to assess and treat vowel distortions, so you can move therapy forward with confidence.

What your fellow SLP said!
"I appreciated the therapy ideas such as chaining, minimal pairs, using the DTTC approach, and references to websites, therapy materials, and games. Excellent use of videos to explain techniques."
And another SLP!
"Excellent, excellent information. Vowels are so difficult to target because the movement is so minimal. Loved hearing different ideas from another SLP."
LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF
I'm Alonna Bondar!
I am a PROMPT certified and DTTC trained, and listed on the Apraxia Kids directory. I am pediatric speech language pathologist with 25 years of experience. I specialize in apraxia and other speech sound disorders. I enjoy working with children with various diagnoses, especially those with down syndrome and autism.
Early on in my career as speech language pathologist, there were some children that were not making adequate progress utilizing a language based therapy approach. I began researching other treatment methods and realized that childhood apraxia of speech was the underlying issue. Therefore, these children needed a motor based speech approach.
Over the years I have worked with countless clients with CAS and trained dozens of SLPs. It became apparent that it was difficult for therapists to find a course that is easy to understand, engaging, and fully prepares them to work with CAS clients.
I am passionate about CAS education and my goal is to make the information around CAS easy to understand and implement, so you can start working with CAS clients immediately.
